A new study by researchers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) reveals that this juice is responsible for the changes thermo-dynamic in the bacteria of the urinary tract, creating a barrier of energy that prevents the micro-organisms are close enough to attack the cells and to launch an infection.
The study, published in the journal Colloids and Surfaces: B, the researchers presented two varieties of bacteria E. coli, with projections known as fimbriae, different concentrations of cranberry juice.
